Based in Devon, Budleigh Salterton Rifle Club is a smallbore rifle target shooting club, specialising in Prone and Benchrest disciplines. Our club features some of the top shooters in Devon and has been active since it was first formed in 1906.
We welcome all ages and abilities, from complete novices through to experienced shooters alike.
Disciplines
- Prone – Shot in the prone position, laying on your front. Between our indoor and outdoor ranges, we can cater for prone across 3 distances, 25 yard, 50 metres and 100 yards. Rifles are single shot bolt action, using iron sights.
- Benchrest – Shot using a bench in the seated position, with the rifle supported using a rest, and the shooters hands and shoulder. Rifles are single shot bolt action, with telescopic sights.
Ranges
- Indoor – Our purpose built indoor range features 5 firing points that can be used for prone, and 2 benchrest rifle firing points. All of our indoor firing points are 25 yards in distance.
- Outdoor – One of only a few outdoor ranges in Devon where you can shoot both 50 metres and 100yard distances, with firing points for up to 6 shooters at a time.
